Voronwë's Bio
Jan. 19th, 2024 10:55 pmVoronwë is the son of Aranwë, from Gondolin, and his mother was a Sindar Elf kin to Círdan, who lived in the Falas. He grew in Gondolin, though he also spent time in the Falas and learned to be a mariner under Círdan's guidance.
When he was old enough, he was sent by King Turgon, along with other Elves to ask for help from the Valar. The ships were lost, and Voronwë sailed for seven years without finding the way to the Blessed Lands. When his ship was wrecked, Ulmo saved him and brought him back to the shore in Nevrast. Ulmo ordered him to guide Tuor to Gondolin when he came, and so he did.
Voronwë escaped the sack of Gondolin and guarded both Idril and Eärendil during the escape. He saw Glorfindel die, and mourned his passing. Voronwë lived in Nan-tathren and then in the Falas for a while. There he adopted an Elfling, called Ilverin or Little Heart, but Ilverin left Ennorath with Tuor and Idril when he was older. Voronwë stayed in the Falas, and then left to travel through the lands. He knew that Maglor had stayed back, and that Glorfindel had returned to Ennorath, but he stayed clear of everyone.
